How bad ass is this painting of Cathedral Ledge by Albert Bierstadt?  Sarah Garlick just emailed it to me and I am totally psyched!  This is the kind of painting I am so inspired by lately, especially when the subject is a place of such importance to me!  Many fun times have been had on those cliffs, and it's cool to see how they looked before all the development that exists there today.  Packing for a trip up there right now, and can't WAIT to get in the woods!

Hi Emilie, This Bierstadt painting is great. Years ago I was at the Whalinh Museum in New Bedford, Mass. There was a display of many original Bierdstadts there and I became a fan. This one of Cannon is not quite as "mythical" as some of his other works, almost in that Maxfield Parish style.

Emilee, I've seen this and was psyched! It's at the Currier Art Museum in Manchester, NH. I was there over the winter with my sister for an Andy Warhol exhibit and ran into it. I love it.
